Time for reflection?

Monday, February 21st, 2011

With Spring now upon us, it maybe time to stop, stand still and take stock of your life and consider where you are going?  Perhaps you have reached a crossroads in your life, or maybe facing a major change, such as redundancy or demotion.  In today’ current economic climate, budgets are being slashed in large organisations, such as the NHS/Government departments, who, at one time, could be relied upon to provide  a ‘job for life’.

If you are facing such a challenge then don’t panic!  This could be an opportunity to do something you always wished you could do but did not have the time to pursue or the money to fund it.  It is also an opportunity to tap into your true potential to find out what you are really capable of.

Several of my clients have often said that losing their job was the best thing that could have happened to them, because it made them stand up and take responsibility for themselves.  Some people hate change, and often a comfort zone, can make them delusional, because they choose to believe that one day things will get better.   Also, when a person is in a situation that is becoming intolerable, they are scared to do anything about it because of the fear of the unknown.  Could this be you, right now?  If so, there is help out there, if you feel you need some support and talking to someone about your  concerns would certainly help lighten the burden.  So, what are you waiting for?

If you are still unsure as to what to do, then start to have faith, that you have within you, the power to change your life for the better. As Dr David Emery stated, “there is a bright spark within each and every one of us”.  So, look inside yourself and consider how you can ignite the spark within.
