Consider the following questions :-

You may not hear yourself say all of these things, but so many people each day, find themselves repeating at least one of these negative statements, in their head without even realising it!  Well, if you want to create more happiness in your life, if you want to create positive change, then it starts with YOU and no-one else.  I will tell you a secret:  The moment you choose to take responsibility for your life and decide that you are going to be happy, then things will start to change!

For example if you sometimes find yourself wishing that your spouse or partner would change, in order to help improve your relationship, then you will be disappointed!  Change comes from within and if a person does not wish to change, they never will.  However, the moment you start to change and become more accepting of the other, then your life can take on a whole new meaning!  Why, because, your thoughts are extremely powerful.  Therefore, as you think, so you create, and believe it or not, every single thought you  have  is creating your life RIGHT NOW.

Happiness is something that can be found within, if you care to look inside yourself.  It is not always bought, traded in or dependent on what is going on in your life at any given time.  The way to become a peaceful person is to be happy no matter what circumstances you are living in or facing right now.  You might ask, "but how can I be happy, when my world is falling apart".  My answer to that would be, "know that wherever you are and whatever your experiencing is where you are supposed to be right now, and you will survive, no matter how bad you feel right now"!

You could start by letting go of old hurts, bitterness and resentment.  Also, when you choose to forgive those that you believe have really hurt you or have caused you a great deal of misery, you will free yourself from an inner prison, you probably did not realised existed.  Talking to someone confidentially about the challenges you maybe facing right now, will also help to get them cleared and sorted. 

Whatever happens in your life it is only temporal, it just seems like forever at the time you are going through it.  Your life is a work in progress and if you really want to create positive change and feel more joy, then start to discover who you really are.

Learn to meditate and go inside yourself...

Meditation and Relaxation are wonderful tools for helping you to relinquish fear and doubt.  FEAR is the biggest stumbling block to personal happiness.  When you  live in fear, when you choose to worry incessantly about things you are not in control of or cannot change, then you rob yourself of personal happiness.  There are lots of books you can read on the subject of Happiness, some of which I will list below.
